  • People of the Lakes by Katherine and W. Micheal Gear pop
In my opinion the best book the Gear's have written. It focuses on the journey of a warrier, trader, shaman and woman up one of America's great rivers, with thousands of side plots - provides a fantastic perspective on the interation between many different tribes within native America. It is also one of their most in-depth stories - a MUST read!

  • Children of the Lion (a 19 vol. series) by Danielson, Peter
The story of "The children of the Lion", weapon-smiths and descendants of Kain, marked by the sign shaped like a lions paw. Their history is interweaved with that of the Israel Patriarchs, begining with Abraham and Jakob up until King Saul. Very interesting vivid description of those times and societies, giving "flesh and bone" to well known biblical AT stories.
