  • Morgan's Run by Colleen McCullough
    Follows the life of Richard Morgan and the transporting of felons to New South Wales (Australia) in the late 1770's. Wonderful historical detail with a good story line. Fiction with historical facts of real people. I didn't give it a 10 because I thought some might find the thickness a little daunting. Yea right after reading Plains of Passage! But I enjoyed it!

    Set in modern day England, this hilarious book is the diary of a single woman in her 30's named Bridget Jones. While reading this book, I laughed so hard I cried. It's a wonderful story--realistic, funny, and at times heartbreaking. I couldn't put it down!

    A wonderful read about Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy. Written in the early 19th century by a woman ahead of her time. A must read for fans of Bridget Jones and many other romance novels.

Turns out Dracula was not vanquished...in this awesome epic, he marries the virgin queen elizabeth and half of london "turns" with remarkable outcomes.....a james bond -like spy, jeckyll and hyde, jack the ripper, all come together in a murdersystery: who is killing the sluts in whitechapel? I loved this book! and have read it many times! Passes the test for intrigue, passion, sex, historical references and love of vampires. If you like anne rice you will LOVE this book!

As she travels through the countryside to flee she reflects her relationship with her ecclectic family asnd the role they have played in this history of their island home. Great read, lots of family drama, island setting is a wonderful backdrop.
