Forwards & Introductions:

Click the pic to see the Amazon listing.Mammoths by Adrian Lister and Paul Bahn - Jean wrote the two-page foreward for this excellent, sometimes difficult to find book. (non-fiction)
"...How I wish this readable book had been available when I was trying to find information about woolly mammoths for my books of Ice Age fiction, instead of having to search through dozens of highly techincal books and papers. ... In weaving together all the various strands of this fascinating story, Lister and Bahn have performed a great service for all of us.  We have learned about more than the life of the mysterious mammoth, we have learned something about ourselves as well."  (Amazon US) (Amazon UK) (Amazon DE)

Fires of Survival by Doreen Wiley Gandy (1994) - introduction by Jean Auel. Info about Doreen and this book can be read at the ReadersNDEX. Doreen has been writing for a while now, and shares the same literary agent as Jean, but is a writer in her own right. (Amazon US)
